4 Perks of Owning Your Home

Owning a house makes an immense variation when we talk about privacy and personal freedom. If you look at the long-term view, it's stated that you will always get your money back even if you live in it for years. House demands and sales have risen rapidly in recent years, as a result of strong economic growth. Having the right agent by your side would help make a big difference for your home hunt. A good market and financial knowledge should be present, great time management and communication skills are a must and most of all see if their personality matches your needs/wants.

So, if you've been planning to settle down, buying or selling a house I can help with the means of buying a house that you prefer!

  • ·         Solid Investment

Owning a home is often referred to as the “American Dream.”

Knowing the value of a property is important - whether you’re looking to buy or to sell. It’s a task that isn’t as easy as you might hope, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t incredibly important.

As years go by, lots of changes may occur especially with the house value.  Not only that, but even if the value of the structure itself depreciates, the land on which it sits can become more valuable. You are investing in an asset for yourself long term.

It's helpful to know what’s happening in the market and how it’s affecting your local area whether you are buying or selling in the future.

Another benefit of a home is that the value is likely to grow over time. If you stay in the house long enough (typically at least 5 to 7 years), you could profit when selling your home. Housing prices can shift for several reasons, this may include supply and demand, similar sales prices in the same neighborhood, and population growth.

  • ·         Freedom To Make Changes

When someone is considering their options as to whether they should keep renting or buy a home, one of the biggest factors is often the ability to make changes that ownership provides. When you are renting a property, it can be difficult to make even the simplest change since you need to have permission or at least let the owner know about it.

A large benefit of owning a home is the ability and freedom to make changes as to home changes that you'd like. Whether it’s something as simple as changing the color or painting a bedroom or something complex such as a complete kitchen remodel, bathroom extensions, adding an additional room, and a whole lot more and when you own a home you can make these changes as you see that fits right into your space.

Many budget-friendly home improvement projects add value to the home and also projects that can cost thousands of dollars, but either way, owning a home gives you the freedom to make changes as you please.

  • ·         Opportunity To Build Equity

Building equity is one of the primary financial benefits of homeownership. You don’t notice it while it’s happening, but if all goes well, you end up with a significant asset that you can use for almost any financial need.

What is Equity?

Equity is the amount of your home that you actually own after accounting for debt. To calculate that value, subtract your loan balance from the market value of your home.

Equity in real estate is the probable market value of a home minus any liens against the property, such as a mortgage.

As your property value increases over time this will create a great point for this opportunity. The more equity you have, the better off you’ll be. As the balance of any liens against a property gets lower and hopefully the value of the property increases, the larger the equity.

  • You Can Create Your Dream Home w/ Living Security

While paying down your mortgage works the same no matter where you live, having your dream home can bring you satisfaction, excitement, happiness, and peace of mind. These are all emotions you might feel when you're buying a home, even if you've planned to make the jump to homeownership for months. Having fears of making the right decision is normal for any major life decision, though. It's best to arm yourself with logic and facts.

Your emotions aren't always the most helpful, but you can note them to make sure you're extra careful.  After all, feeling secured and safe is the most important thing that should be considered as a priority.
